This item uses Train Trax's website pre-order function.  For simplicity of processing, each product will need to be placed on a separate pre-order as they will probably arrive at different times. If more than one pre-order does arrive at a similar time then it will be possible to combine shipping charges.

A new lineup of HO gauge baggage cars, essential for regular and baggage trains in the JNR era, is now available.

◆ The Mani 60 was a 14-ton baggage car that belonged to the steel-bodied line that was introduced between 1953 and 1955. A total of 565 cars, 205 of which were newly built and 360 of which were converted from other types of cars after 1959, were included in the fleet. They were incorporated into local trains and express trains, and were used together with other types of mail and luggage cars in trains for transporting small packages. The Mani 61 was a type of Mani 60 with the TR11 bogies replaced with TR23 bogies to suppress vibrations during high-speed operation and to prevent damage to baggage.

◆ The Mani 60/Mani 61, the first baggage car in the HO gauge old-type car lineup, is now available. You can enjoy a variety of different configurations by incorporating them into passenger trains combined with the Oha 35 and Suha 43 series. They are also recommended for recreating classic freight trains consisting of the Mani60/Mani61 along with locomotives like the EF58 and DD51.

◆ Product features

① The Series 350, which was added for use in the Honshu region, has been recreated in the form from around 1975, following the installation of a valuables room.

② The exterior appearance of the car has been accurately replicated, including the characteristic large luggage compartment doors, four side windows, and the curved frame.

③ Protective bars visible through the side windows, baggage door windows, gable door windows, and crew door windows are reproduced as separate light green parts.

④ Reproduction of the TR11 type bogie of Mani 60 and TR23 type bogie of Mani 61 respectively.

⑤ Each product is equipped with spoke wheels. The detail between the spokes has also been reproduced.

⑥ The toilet window is recreated with a white colour.

⑦ Windowed gable side with tail-light lit (with an off-switch).

⑧ Weight, conversion, and 'baggage' markings have been pre-printed. The model includes lettering sheets, allowing you to apply your choice of markings for the type, car number, affiliation, end-face markings, and inspection markings.
