Description

The HapiLine Fukui 521 Series appeared after the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension to Tsuruga, when the former JR conventional line section between Daishoji and Tsuruga was transferred to the new third-sector railway. The standard fleet uses a pink-based HapiLine Fukui colour scheme, while two trains received vivid full-body wrapping.

This special KATO 4-car set combines a standard-colour formation with one of the full-wrapping formations, giving a more varied and eye-catching modern Hokuriku regional train.
