Description

The Tokyu 5000 Series entered service in 2002 as Tokyu Railway's next-generation standard commuter train. On the Den-en-toshi Line it carries Tokyu's red corporate stripe together with the route's green line colour, and operates through services via the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line and Tobu network.

This 4-car basic set represents formation 5117 from the later group, with integrated side destination displays and the cars that replaced the former six-door vehicles. It is designed for use with the matching 6-car add-on set to form the full train.
