Description
The D51 is one of Japan's most famous steam locomotive classes and was widely used across the JNR network. The type is still strongly associated with Japanese steam and is often known by the nickname 'Degoichi'.
This HO model represents the standard mass-produced D51 form for warm-climate and flatter-line operation around the 1970s. It is a good base model as supplied, with extra scope for detail variation using the separately available grade-up parts set.
