Description

This special edition 8-car set represents the Musashino Line 205 Series 5000 M20 formation from Keiyo Rolling Stock Center, the final 205 Series train to operate on the Musashino Line.

The Musashino Line 205 Series was introduced from 1991, with further trains later transferred from the Yamanote and Saikyo lines to replace the 103 Series. From 2002, VVVF inverter-converted motor cars were designated as the 5000 series, and many Musashino Line formations became distinctive mixes of early and later 205 Series vehicles.

M20 was especially notable because it included leading and motor cars originally from the Yamanote Line, together with two Saha 205 cars transferred from the Saikyo Line. The transfer of Musashino Line 205 Series trains to Indonesia ended with the M20 formation in October 2020, bringing the Musashino Line 205 Series era to a close.
