The Musashino Line's 205 series was first introduced in 1991. Since 2002, 205 series trains have been transferred from the Yamanote and Saikyo lines to the Musashino Line to replace the previously active 103 series. These trains, equipped with VVVF inverter-equipped motors, have been introduced. The 5000 series was newly designated as the 5000 series, and due to the combination of transferred trains, many trains were a mix of early and later trains. The M20 train, belonging to the Keiyo Rolling Stock Center, features a lead car and motor car originally from the Yamanote Line, and two Saha 205 cars originally from the Saikyo Line. This was the last 205 series train on the Musashino Line. The transfer of Musashino Line trains to Indonesia, which began in 2018, ended with the M20 train in October 2020, marking the end of the Musashino Line's 205 series operation.
This is the final 205 series to be released. The newly designed destination sticker includes the "Farewell banner to Jakarta" that was displayed when the locomotive was sent for distribution after its retirement. It can also be used with the EF81 JR East color (with double-headed coupler), which is scheduled for simultaneous reproduction. (Part replacement required.)
