2022 is the 150th year since Japan's first railway opened in 1872, and Tohoku・This year marks the anniversary of the anniversaries of the Joetsu, Yamagata, Akita, and Hokuriku Shinkansen lines. In commemoration of this, one of the E2 series 1000 trains was painted in the same coloring as the 200 series when the Tohoku Shinkansen opened, and began operation in June as part of regular operation. The highly reproducible exterior has been attracting a lot of attention due to its nostalgic feeling, and in addition to regular regular operation, a commemorative train using the same train was also operated.
KATO will commercialize the 200 series E2 series 1000 series, which appeared in the commemorative year of 150 years since the opening of Japan's first railway, as a special project product. You can enjoy it together with the Shinkansen of JR East.
