Description

The E231 Series 1000 was introduced from 2000 to replace older 115 Series and 211 Series trains on routes including the Utsunomiya and Takasaki lines. The Oyama Vehicle Center sets have details that differ from later Tokaido Line batches, including the continuous green side band and cab/roof features.

This KATO 10-car set represents Oyama U522 formation after equipment renewal. It can be combined with the matching 5-car set for a full 15-car suburban formation.
