This item uses Train Trax's website pre-order function. For simplicity of processing, each product will need to be placed on a separate pre-order as they will probably arrive at different times. If more than one pre-order does arrive at a similar time then it will be possible to combine shipping charges.

The E721 Series works on JR East's AC electrified routes in the southern Tohoku region. The design was introduced from 2007 as part of the renewal of the Sendai area fleet and for services including the Sendai Airport Access Line.

The real E721 units use a low-floor body, small-diameter wheels and step-free entrances to suit regional lines with low platforms. This makes them a distinctive modern Tohoku subject and a useful companion to JR East 701 Series, HB-E300 'Hinabi' and HB-E300 'SATONO' models.

This product represents the 1000 series four-car fixed formation. It is suitable for present-day scenes on the Tohoku Main Line, Joban Line north of Haranomachi, Senzan Line and Ban-etsu West Line.

• Represents the E721 Series 1000 series four-car fixed formation used in the Sendai / southern Tohoku area.
• Different stripe colours reproduced for the 0 and 1000 series: green, white and red for the 0 series, and green, white and pink for the 1000 series.
• Car numbers, affiliation markings and car-number markings printed.
• Passenger-window size opposite the toilet area reproduced according to the series.
• Headlights and taillights light up, with light-off switch. Each leading car has four headlights.
• PS109 round-pipe pantograph detail reproduced where applicable.
• DT72 / TR256 low-floor bogies reproduced with small 5.2 mm diameter wheels, reflecting the 2,100 mm prototype wheelbase.
• Snowploughs fitted.
• Dummy coupler with coupler cover fitted at the cab ends.
• Front coupling arrangement allows coupling with 701 Series models; intermediate cars use body-mounted close couplers without hooks.
• Skirt detail varies between KuMoHa E721 and KuHa E720, including inspection-cover differences.
• Front display pre-installed as 'Sendai'; replacement front displays and destination stickers included.
• DCC friendly.
