Description
The 287 series is a DC express train developed by JR West based on the 683 series-4000 series, and is currently used on the "Kounotori" and "Kuroshio" trains. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the "Kuroshio" express train's launch in July 2025, a 60th anniversary wrap train began operating. This wrap train, inspired by the 381 series "Super Kuroshio" train that has been in operation since 1989, is scheduled to run until February 2026. This wrap train, which was introduced to
commemorate the 60th anniversary of the "Kuroshio" express train, is now available as a product. The train's distinctive front decorations, as well as the gradient red and yellow side stripes on the leading cars at both ends of the train, are accurately reproduced. You can enjoy it together with various other products, such as the currently popular 10-1179S/1180 287 series "Kuroshio" and the 10-1667 Kiha 25 series 1500 series (Kisei Main Line/Sangu Line) which will be released at the same time.
