The "Seto" service, which ran between Tokyo and Takamatsu, and the "Asakaze" (No. 3 and No. 2) service, which ran between Tokyo and Shimonoseki, shared the same rolling stock during the early days of JR. Instead of the Kani 24 power car, the Suha 25 lounge car was powered by a pantograph-equipped car, and the Ohanefu 25 300, which had a luggage compartment, made for a unique train formation.
The destination signs on the sides of this new product have been changed from pre-printed to stickers, further expanding the scope of play. Recommended locomotives for this train include the 3061-A EF65 1000 Late Model (JR Specification Gray H-Rubber) and the 3090-3 EF66 Series 0 Late Model Blue Train Locomotive, both of which will be released at the same time.
