Description
A new locomotive Ge4/4-II 631 will join the popular Swiss RhatischeBahn series. This is a small locomotive modelled after SBB Re4/4 in terms of design characterised by the rounded edge body and wide side windows. It is a locomotive which is mostly used in the current RhatischeBahnfleet and widely deployed, mostly drawing Glacier Express on Disentisto St. Moritz and Bernina Express Chur to St. Moritz lines as well as freight trains etc.
This locomotive in the current RhatischeBahn's standard livery of red and grey will match coaches of the existing Kato's scale models Glacier Express and Bernina Express and EW-I.
Alps locomotive Ge4/4-II 631
It is a small locomotive modeled after the design of the Swiss National Railways locomotive Re4/4, and features a rounded box-shaped body and large side windows.Currently, it is the most powerful vehicle on the Rhaetian Railway. Mainly used in a wide range of applications such as the Glacier Express connecting Desentis and St. Moritz, the Bernina Express from Chur to St. Moritz, and freight trains. A secondary car made in 1984, wearing the Rhaetian Railway standard paint, square lights on the front, The current appearance with additional jumper plugs beautifully reproduces the distinctive bright red car body that is familiar to the prototype Rhaetian Railway. The emblem mark on the side and the Rhätische Bahn logo are also reproduced.
- The curved body design and large windows are accurately reproduced.
- Details of various parts such as the air intake louver on the roof, resistor, and large snow plow are also reproduced . The jumper plug on the front of the vehicle body is set as a user-installed part.
- Power is capable of towing 12 Rhaetian Railway passenger cars on a 4% gradient.
- Minimum passing radius is R150.
- DCC can be used by replacing the light board. Scheduled to be supported.
- Short coupler standard equipment for Glacier Express. Replacement Arnold coupler included
- All three headlights are lit (bulb color)
