Description
WR3811 is one of the RhB dining cars built for restaurant service on the Rhaetian Railway. Originally introduced in red, it was later renovated and repainted in dark blue to match the Alpine Classic Pullman Express.
The coach can be used with Glacier Express and EW I passenger formations.
Features
- Represents WR3811 GOURMINO in Alpine Blue condition, based on the prototype from around 2002 to 2012.
- Dark blue body with gold stripes, emblems and logos.
- Table lamps light using warm-colour LEDs.
- Interior lighting can be added using the included lighting plate. Clear LED interior lights are not used for this model.
- Minimum radius: R150.
- 2 Glacier Express short couplers
- 2 through hoods for short couplers
- Interior light illumination plate

The Gourmino restaurant car is a prefect companion to the other Kato RhB passenger cars, they run smoothly and they have a feature which is not mentioned in the description,!! The Table Lamps illuminate when the car is in motion, (those users using DCC will have constant lighting!)
As supplied the Gourmino is fitted with standard N Gauge Rapido couplers but Kato close couplers are supplied and changing over is straightforward.

A follow up to my previous reveiw! I have just received Train Trax (along with a few other items!!) an additional Gourmino restaurant car, it is worth noting that these cars are often seen running in pairs on the RhB (see rhb/livestream online), anyway the point of this reveiw is to say that I am pleased to note that KATO are now fitting their close couplers to the Gourmino instead of the previously fitted Rapido N gauge couplers

This is expensive for a single unit, but worth it given the detail and pre-supplied lighting bar (you will have to install yourself, the table lamps are factory fitted). As other reviews have said, great that this now comes with the close coupler as the default installed option, but that you get the parts to change the corridor connector and coupler to the older version to enable full compatibility
