Description

Eurostar is an international rail service that connects London with Amsterdam, Brussels, Lille, Paris and Rotterdam. This high-speed line runs through the Channel Tunnel.

Since it first ran in 1994, Eurostar has been the only passenger service using the route, travelling from London St Pancras to Paris Gard du Nord through the Channel Tunnel in 2 hours 15 minutes and to Brussels Midi/Zuid in 2 hours 1 minute.

With a maximum speed of 300km/h (186mph), each train is made up of 18 passenger coaches and has a power car at each end.
