-The E657 series was introduced in 2011 as an AC/DC express train for the Joban Line, and is still the flagship express train on the Joban Line.
In conjunction with the Ibaraki Destination Campaign in 2023, the E657 series has been painted with a design reminiscent of the old E653 series "Fresh Hitachi," attracting attention not only from people along the line but also from many railway fans. The actual train is available in a total of five colors, and the third in KATO's lineup will be the yellow-painted K2 train.
-This vehicle is ideal for passing by vehicles in operation within the JR East jurisdiction, or as part of the ongoing collection of five colors.
