Description

The 103 Series was one of Japan National Railways' standard DC commuter EMUs, with more than 3,400 cars built after mass production began in 1964. They worked widely on DC commuter lines across Japan, with many differences between batches, routes and regions.

This KATO Sky Blue three-car intermediate coach set is an unpowered add-on for the matching 10-1743A powered set. It is intended for extending the basic four-car formation and building longer 103 Series commuter trains.

Used with a powered set and further intermediate cars, it helps recreate the longer formations seen in Tokyo and Kansai commuter service.
