The 103 Series is a standard JNR DC commuter train, with 3,447 cars manufactured over 20 years since mass production began in 1964. Operating on DC lines throughout Japan, there were numerous variations depending on the manufacturing date and the line they were used on. This commuter train remains familiar to many, not just railfans. This popular set, which allows you to easily enjoy the 103 Series, JNR's signature DC commuter train, is now available with LED headlights and taillights. Following the "Green" and "Sky Blue" versions, the second release comes in three colors: "Orange," "Canary," and "Emerald Green."
