This item uses Train Trax's website pre-order function. For simplicity of processing, each product will need to be placed on a separate pre-order as they will probably arrive at different times. If more than one pre-order does arrive at a similar time then it will be possible to combine shipping charges.

Product description
KATO N gauge model of the first-generation Keio Teito Electric Railway 5000/5100 Series. The prototype was an 18m, three-door long-seat commuter train introduced from 1963 around the undergrounding of Shinjuku Station and the Keio Line voltage increase to 1,500V. It was used on the newly introduced limited express services, won a Laurel Prize the following year, and remained in service until 1996.
This is KATO’s first Keio Teito Electric Railway train in its private railway line-up. The range covers air-conditioned modified 5000 and 5100 Series cars and the popular extra air-conditioned cars with small distributed coolers. Sets can be combined to make 6- to 9-car formations.

- Models the wide-body, cardan-drive cars in approximately 1980-1988 air-conditioned condition.
- Recreates the old company crest and K.T.R. logos after car-number board holders had been removed.
- Uses PT42 pantographs without horn-shaped pan-shoe ends.
- Different bogie and cooler casing types are reproduced according to the set.
- Suitable for creating varied 6- to 9-car Keio formation patterns by combining sets.
- 4-car basic set.
- Coolers: cars 5715 and 5765 have four RPU-2203 distributed coolers plus one ventilator.
- Cars 5015 and 5065 have one FTUR-375-205 concentrated cooler plus one ventilator.
- Bogie types: NA-321T on 5715 and 5765, KH-55A on 5015 and 5065.
