Description
This special KATO Class 800/0 set represents GWR unit 800 010 in the Paddington Bear wrapping carried around 2018. The five-car train combines the modern Hitachi-built Intercity Express Train shape with GWR moss green livery and character artwork celebrating Paddington Bear and Michael Bond.
The real Class 800 is a bi-mode intercity train, able to operate from overhead electric power or from onboard diesel generator units. KATO models the set in British N scale at 1:148, making it suitable for UK-outline layouts and for collectors of modern British railway subjects.
KATO has reproduced the narrowed body-end shape, mechanical roof detail, orange warning pinstripe above the windows, black side destination displays, door switches and emergency door release markings. Compared with the standard 800 021 GWR set, this special version also reflects differences around the E-car headlight area and body-side markings on the B, D and E cars.
This version is supplied DCC sound fitted.
