Description
-Hapi Line Fukui is a third-sector railway line that was established when part of the parallel conventional line between Kanazawa and Tsuruga (between Daishoji and Tsuruga) was separated from JR in March 2024 with the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Tsuruga. The trains are 16 two-car 521 series trains that had been used on the same section until then, and feature an original color scheme based on pink. In June of the same year, a train with a fully wrapped carriage was introduced, which became a hot topic for its vivid appearance.
â—†The 521 series of Hapi Line Fukui, which was born with the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Tsuruga, is now available. In addition to the two-car set with the regular paint color, a four-car set will also be released that combines the fully wrapped train, which only exists in two trains, with the regular paint color. You can enjoy it together with the 10-1959/1960 683 series 0-type "Thunderbird" (renovated car) and the 10-2071 683 series "Shirasagi" (new paintwork) that you will see at Tsuruga Station.
