Description
The HapiLine Fukui 521 Series appeared after the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension to Tsuruga, when the former JR conventional line section between Daishoji and Tsuruga was transferred to the new third-sector railway. The trains use 521 Series two-car EMUs with a distinctive pink-based HapiLine Fukui colour scheme.
This KATO 2-car set represents the standard-colour HF11 formation. It is a useful modern regional train for layouts based around Fukui, Tsuruga and the Hokuriku area, and pairs naturally with current KATO 683 Series Thunderbird and Shirasagi stock.
