The KIHA181 series was a diesel-powered train for limited express trains that appeared in the JNR era, and even after the transition to JR, it was operated as a limited express train in non-electrified sections in various places. The trains belonging to JR West were widely used as the intercity limited express "Kunibiki" in the Sanin area, the yin-yang communication limited express "Oki", "Inaba", and "Isoukaze", "Hakuto", "Hakate" and "Asashio" connecting Sanin-Kyushu and Kansai.
◆It is a lineup that you can enjoy various limited express trains by KIHA181 series that was active until the early 2000s in the Kansai area and China area. KATO will reproduce in the form seen after the transition to JR, such as the large-windowed penetrating door, the blockage of the emergency door, the side windows that are partially small with the installation of the conductor's compartment.
