Description
The TGV Sud-Est was the first generation of French TGV, introduced for the LGV Sud-Est high-speed line between Paris and Lyon. Services began at 260 km/h in 1981, later rising to 270 km/h and then 300 km/h after further upgrades.
The orange Sud-Est livery remains one of the most recognisable high-speed train designs in Europe. KATO's renewed model brings this first-generation TGV up to current specification, making it useful both for running and as a collection piece.
This is the 5-car basic set and contains the essential powered formation. Add 10-2084 to make the matching 10-car set 84 formation.
