Description

N gauge KATO 787 Series 36 Plus 3 tourist express 6-car set.

JR Kyushu's 36 Plus 3 is a Design & Story tourist train rebuilt from a 787 Series formation and introduced in October 2020. It circles Kyushu over a five-day pattern, with each day covering a different section. The prototype is notable for its glossy black exterior, gold decoration and highly redesigned interior.

This is a detailed set for customers wanting one of JR Kyushu's most distinctive modern tourist trains.

• Glossy black exterior reproduced across body, roof and air-conditioning equipment, excluding the underframe.
• 36 Plus 3, Discover Kyushu logos and metal-style emblems reproduced.
• Different interiors represented for each car, including private rooms, three-abreast seating, buffet area and multi-purpose car.
• Shoji-style window detail represented with separate parts visible inside the windows.
• Table lamps in cars 1 to 3 and product shelf/refrigerator detail in car 3 light using warm white LEDs.
• Roof appearance reflects removal of the instrument transformer around the pantograph area.
• Close couplers fitted at intermediate connections, dummy couplers on the cab ends.
• Headlights and taillights fitted. Headlights use white LEDs, with upper light and fog-light colour variation represented.
