Description

The ET424 is a sister type to the ET425 family. This model represents a unit transferred from S-Bahn Hannover to S-Bahn Koln, where the trains were refurbished and given a renewed red, grey and black colour scheme.

Although the external appearance is noticeably different after refurbishment, the trains remain Deutsche Bahn suburban EMUs and are ideal for modern German S-Bahn and regional commuter layouts.
