Description
The Kiha 283 series of pendulum limited express railcars that are active in JR Hokkaido debuted in 1997 as "Super Ozora" that connects Sapporo and Kushiro. The style is a combination of the steel front of the high cab and the stainless steel body, and features a clean roof with a floor-standing cooler. "Super Ozora" has been renamed to "Ozora" from the timetable revision in March 2020. In order to prevent damage to the driver's cab window of the leading car in the middle of the formation due to gliding of ice blocks, KATO has reproduced the protector added to the connecting surface on the roof, and also changed the head mark to "Ozora" and changed it to full color LED.
