The 923 type 3000 series T5 train, commonly known as "Doctor Yellow," is a Shinkansen electric track comprehensive test vehicle that collects basic data for track maintenance on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen, and is popular as a yellow Shinkansen. KATO has commercialized it realistically and accurately, such as reproducing the "inspection floodlight" that illuminates the pantograph for overhead wire inspection with a lighting type.
