These were a great replacement for the original couplers and were reasonably easy to fit. However, the springs thst hold the couplers in the traction unit didn't stay in place when the plough units holding the original couplers were removed and consequently got lost. Great care is required if this is to be prevented as you don't seem to be able to buy these on their own.

These can be a faff to fit but definitely worth it once done. I got a whole consist done in an hour and one of the benefits is that it makes the whole train noticeably shorter and therefore easier to fit on a scenic section. I particularly like that you get enough to do 6 carriages plus both ends of a loco in the one pack - just reme,ber that the long couplers (whilst looking good on a loco) don't fit there
