Description
●Kato will reproduce the EF65 No. 1118, the second generation of rainbow-painted EF65 locomotives.
Due to the aging of the first rainbow-painted EF65 No. 1019, the EF65 No. 1118, which appeared in 1997, features a design in which the "EF65" logo is also applied to the side glass. Initially, the H-rubber color of each part was gray, but it was changed to black during the inspection in March 2000, which was a flower when the Super Express Rainbow was retired in the same month. Even after the passenger cars were retired, the paint continued to be used as it was, and an air conditioner was installed in 2006, and the side glass part with the "EF65" logo was omitted during the inspection in 2009.
◆It is recommended as a traction engine for the 24 series 25 type sleeper express "Ginga" scheduled to be released at the same time.
◆From this product, a slotless motor will be used for the power source.
