Description
The "Rem 5000" was the last two-axle refrigerated freight car of the Japanese National Railways, manufactured between 1964 and 1969. The shape of the roof differed depending on the time of manufacture, and it is broadly divided into early models (5000 and later) and later models (6000 and later). It was characterized by its superior heat retention ability compared to existing models, and to promote this, it was wrapped with a blue stripe to distinguish it from other models.
