Description

This KATO special project set represents the 211 Series 0 in JNR specification as a full 15-car suburban formation. The 211 Series was introduced as a successor to older 111 and 113 Series stock, bringing stainless-steel bodysides, improved passenger capacity and a more modern commuter/suburban appearance.

The JNR specification version is particularly useful for modellers wanting the earlier appearance before later JR-era changes. This set represents a long Tokaido Main Line style formation with only conventional single-deck Green Cars, rather than the later double-deck Green Car arrangement.
