Description
This KATO 9-car set recreates the JNR-era night local train 'San'in', which ran over the San'in Main Line between Kyoto and Izumoshi. Although classified as a local train, it included B sleeper accommodation and played an important role carrying passengers, mail and baggage along the route.
The formation combined baggage, mail/baggage, 10 Series sleeper and 43 Series seated coaches, usually hauled by a DD51 diesel locomotive. It is a characterful choice for modellers who enjoy mixed passenger formations rather than uniform express sets.
