Since the Tokaido Shinkansen line was opened in 1964, the Series 0 Shinkansen train was built and deployed until 1986. The last Series 0 was decommissioned in 2008.

New cars made after 1981 became the final version of the 2000 series, and a total of 309 cars were manufactured. This model represents the last phase of the Series 0.

The 2000 series is a group whose seat pitch has been expanded based on the 1000 series with smaller side passenger windows, and all cars were succeeded to JR Central / JR West even after the transition to JR, and were active as the last 0 series, 2008. It retired in 2008.

We will improve and commercialize some specifications of KATO's long-selling product, 0 series 2000 series that was active on the Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen. The head / tail lights of both leading cars are changed to LEDs, and the lighting state inside the lights of the actual car is reproduced, making it more attractive.
