Description
The D51, a Hokkaido steam locomotive with an enclosed cab and truncated deflector, was used until the end of the steam locomotive era.The D51, a Japanese National Railways steam locomotive affectionately known as ``Degoichi,'' was introduced in Japan in 1935. -The largest number of 1115 cars were manufactured, and they were used all over the country. Many variations can be seen as they have been modified according to the region and line section, and in Hokkaido they were characterized by unique equipment that could be called extremely cold region specifications.
