This steam locomotive emerged in 1938 and engaged in drawing train named 'Steam' in the yard since it had entered into 'Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum' in 1972. Nonetheless, it returned to the mainlines in November, 2017 to draw steam locomotive train 'Yamaguchi'.
This locomotive is characterized by a gorgeous atmosphere created with golden decoration here and there such as boiler bands or deflector rims or with white color painted on the run board sides.
*Series 35-400 Steam Locomotive Train 'Yamaguchi'.
Steam Locomotive train 'Yamaguchi' is a special rapid train operated by JR West Japan between Shin-yamaguchi and Tsuwano in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Series 35-4000 passenger train emerged in 2017 to replace the predecessor series 12 'Yamaguchi'. Series 35-4000 is a brand new train made by using the latest technology, but it looks just like an old-timer passenger-car train of the heydays. It attracts people's attention as a distinctive train combining the retrospective appearance and comfortable interiors.

quite simply a fantastic steam locomotive model - and my first in N-gauge, the functioning rods and pipework really bring it to life, and although the finish on this model is more plastic than metallic, it works with the other colours to make it feel very elegant, the purple-ish red firebox area and the frankly insane amount of separately fitted parts for an n-gauge model make this worth the price multiple times over. The motor is a little louder than some other models, but shows no sign of issues at all and runs as smooth as I could possibly want on my basic KATO SX controller. The added customisation options that you can fit if desired also allowing a personal touch not always seen in larger scales.
