Description

This special edition set combines C11 171 with the 14 Series 500 'SL Fuyu no Shitsugen' coaches, recreating Hokkaido's winter steam sightseeing train on the Senmo Main Line between Kushiro and Shibecha.

The train is famous for bringing passengers close to the Kushiro Wetlands, with tourist coaches including Tancho seating and Daruma-stove interiors. C11 171, once preserved at Shibecha, returned to working order in 1998 and became closely associated with this service.
