Description

The E3 Series 2000 was introduced for Yamagata Shinkansen 'Tsubasa' services from 2008, replacing the earlier 400 Series. The later livery uses the purple, yellow and white Yamagata colours also associated with the newer E8 Series.

This 7-car set represents the E3-2000 in the updated 'Tsubasa' colour scheme and is a useful companion to E5/H5 Shinkansen sets for recreating coupled services between Tokyo and Fukushima.
