Description

This HO model represents the EF510-500 Cassiopeia colour locomotive. The EF510 is an AC/DC electric locomotive introduced in 2002 as a modern replacement for EF81 locomotives on Sea of Japan route duties. JR East introduced the 500 series for sleeper express work from 2010, including the prestige Cassiopeia service.

The Cassiopeia version carries the silver passenger-service livery with a five-colour shooting star design on the bodyside. It is a natural match for Cassiopeia sleeper stock, but can also be used for later JR Freight-era appearances if the chosen period suits your layout.
