The E353 series, which began commercial operation in December 2017 (2017), is a successor vehicle to the E257 series and E351 series, which had previously been active in Azusa and Kaiji. A major feature is the use of an air spring-type body tilting device and curvilinear passage performance equivalent to that of the E351 series.
A simple, powerful design with a sense of speed, with a band of Azusa violet on the body of Alpine White, symbolizes the very next-generation express train.
He is currently active in "Super Azusa", "Azusa" and "Kaiji".
Equipped with KATO's original body tilt mechanism, you can enjoy a realistic curve passing scene approaching a real vehicle.
Main features
● The top shape with a sense of speed and the paint color of the powerful design are reproduced as realistic as a real car.
● Adopts KATO's original body tilting mechanism. The realistic curve passing scene that leans the vehicle body and approaches the actual vehicle.
● Antennas on the roof are already installed.
● The cooler has a stainless steel unpainted central body and reproduces a silver-painted front and back cover.
● Achieves stable driving by adopting a power unit with a flywheel.
● Snap on trolley adopted.
● The middle connection part adopts body mount close link coupler (no hook). The first part of cars No. 1 and 12 adopts a dummy coupler that reproduces the appearance with a cover. At the top of the 3rd and 4th cars, a body mount close link coupler (no hook) that reproduces the electric connection part is adopted.
● Head / tail light is on. All five headlights are on.
● Chairs in the car are bluish-purple for normal cars and brown for green cars.
● Car number, no smoking sign, wheelchair sign printed.
● Destination indication sticker attached. A variety of destinations such as "Super Azusa", "Azusa" and "Kaiji" will be recorded.
● If all three sets are aligned, all 12 cars can be stored in the book case of the additional set and the accessory set.
● DCC friendly.
