Description
This special KATO set represents the ND552 diesel locomotives of the Nagoya Rinkai Railway, a freight railway established in 1965 to serve the growing industrial and port area around Nagoya. The real locomotives work on freight routes including the Toko, Nanko and Tochiku lines, handling container traffic, limestone trains and industrial freight movements.
The set includes two different ND552 liveries: ND552-7 in a JNR-style red and grey commemorative colour scheme, and a current blue-and-white Nagoya Rinkai Railway version. It is a useful pair for container terminals, freight yards and industrial switching scenes.
