Description

The DF50 was introduced from the late 1950s as a diesel-electric locomotive for non-electrified main and secondary routes. The Shikoku version modelled here represents Sulzer-engined locomotives used widely in the Shikoku region, including on the Dosan Line.

KATO's DF50 Shikoku type is a useful diesel locomotive for passenger and freight work. It is especially suitable for hauling the Hoki 5200 Tosa Lime Industry limestone wagons, including 8089 and related sets.
