Description

This KATO 4-car add-on set represents the 211 Series 5600 subseries used by JR Central on the Chuo Main Line. The wider 211-5000 family was introduced from 1988 for JR Central commuter and suburban services, replacing older 103 and 113 Series stock.

The Chuo Main Line 211 Series trains were operated in different 3-car and 4-car combinations, allowing longer formations to be built according to traffic demand. This add-on set is intended for use with the matching KATO Chuo Line basic sets.
