Description
The 381 series, which began operations as the world's first pendulum-type limited express train as the limited express "Shinano" in 1973, was electrified in October 1978 between Kisei Main Line Wakayama and Shingu. "Kuroshio" was converted to an electric train, and the 100 series with a non-penetrating front car appeared.
