Description
The JR Shikoku 8000 Series is a DC limited express EMU introduced from 1992, used on services including 'Shiokaze' and 'Ishizuchi'. The real trains use a controlled natural pendulum system and can operate as separate 5-car and 3-car formations, or coupled together as an 8-car train.
This KATO 3-car set represents the S5 formation after the major renewal work that began in 2004. It is also a Best Selection package, making it a good compact starting point for modelling JR Shikoku limited express services.
