Description
-The E6 series began commercial operation in March 2013 as a new type of vehicle for the Akita Shinkansen. Between Tokyo and Morioka, it is coupled with the E5 series/H5 series Shinkansen and operates at the maximum domestic commercial speed of 320 km/h. In recent years, due to the increase in foreign travelers carrying large luggage, modifications were made to install large luggage storage areas from February to August 2018, and some windows in cars 13, 15, and 17 were filled in. After that, similar work was done on cars 12, 14, and 16, and the installation work spread to all cars except car 11 (green car).
-The E6 series Shinkansen "Komachi" is now available in the latest specifications with window blocking work done on all cars except car 11. Together with the <10-1969~1971 ​​E5 Series Shinkansen "Hayabusa"> and <10-1967/1968 H5 Series Hokkaido Shinkansen "Hayabusa"> scheduled for release in February 2025, you can enjoy the coupled operation scenes seen between Tokyo and Sendai just like the real train. In addition, Hobby Center Kato will simultaneously reproduce the powered bogie with traction tires, which is convenient for running the E6 Series Shinkansen alone.
