Description

This 6-car set represents the 683 Series in the newer 'Shirasagi' livery introduced after changes to Hokuriku limited express operation.

Following the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Tsuruga in March 2024, limited express services such as 'Thunderbird' and 'Shirasagi' had their operating areas changed. Some 683 Series 0 trains were repainted into the 'Shirasagi' colour scheme and entered service from December of that year.

The orange-striped 'Shirasagi' 683 Series is useful for recreating current Kansai, Hokuriku and Tokai limited express scenes, and also works well alongside 'Thunderbird' stock.
