PROTOTYPE DETAILS
The EF66-100 is a successor of EF66-0 and different from its predecessor it is equipped with square headlights and painted in the JR Freight New Standard Paint Scheme with blue horizontal line on the lower part of the body.
Following the eight 100-series primary cars, in 1990, a secondary car appeared as an improved version. As for the appearance, changes such as the addition of a blue line on the hem of the car body and the conversion of headlights to square lights can be seen.
KATO will commercialize the EF66 100 series, which is still active in the Fukida engine district, with the current appearance of the blue roof paint.

- Stable running is possible by adopting a power unit with a flywheel.
