Description
The EF65 500 series was released from 1964 to 1965, based on the EF60, for towing the 20 series sleeper express and Koki 10000 series high-speed freight trains, which were the star trains of the Tokaido Main Line at the time. The passenger type is called the P type, and the cargo type is called the F type, and they are characterized by different equipment. In addition, due to a shortage of passenger locomotives, eight EF65 series 0 cars were remodeled.
