Description

JR Freight's red EF510-0 series was born in 2002 as a new generation locomotive with low power consumption and high output. With the "RED THUNDER" logo on the side, it is used to tow long freight trains on the Japan Sea Transit Line.
2010 (2010) JR East introduced 15 cars in the 500 series for towing the sleeper limited express "Hokutosei" and "Cassiopeia". The appearance of a locomotive for passengers after a long time attracted a lot of attention.
