Description

The KU5000 car carrier appeared in 1966 as Japan's car production increased and rail transport of automobiles became more standardised. At its peak, dedicated Arrow trains of up to 20 car-carrier wagons could be seen in operation across Japan.

This KATO set is useful for building a dedicated car-carrier train or for adding automobile traffic to a mixed freight train. Cars are not included with this set; protected-sheet automobile loads are available separately as accessory item 23-510A.
