Bullet train Shinkansen E3-2000, which is operated in Yamagata prefecture, was recently repainted in a new paint scheme with the motives of prefecture bird, mandarin duck, and prefecture flower, safflower. Kato has made the scale model with unique characters for 2000 with new window layout carved on car Nos. 16 and 17 and 4 kinds of colorful symbol marks printed on car Nos. 11 and 16 which represent the four seasons in Yamagata. The top car heading for Tokyo E311 (Car No. 11) is equipped with mechanism to couple top cars. Using it, you can couple the train with E2 Shinakansen “Yamabiko”.
