Description
N gauge KATO ED76 500 in JR-era Hokkaido specification.
The ED76 was developed from the ED75 AC electric locomotive, with a longer body to house steam-heating equipment for passenger trains. The 500 series appeared in 1968 for Hokkaido electrification and remained associated with central Hokkaido passenger work, including sleeper expresses such as Taisetsu and Rishiri.
